  • 125ml (½ cup) canola oil
  • 6 onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 garlic bulb, peeled and crushed
  • fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
  • 6g (1 tbsp) cumin seeds
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 17g (1 tbsp) salt
  • 3g (1 ½ tsp) ground coriander
  • 3g (1 ½ tsp) ground black pepper
  • 3g (1 ½ tsp) red chilli powder
  • 3g (1 ½ tsp) ground turmeric
  • 1 marrow, peeled, remove its seeds, and sliced into thin pieces 
  • 3 green chilies, washed and thinly sliced
  • 17g (1 cup) fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Step-By-Step Guide To Make Marrow Curry

  • Take a heavy-bottomed large saucepan and put it on medium heat.  
  • Put oil in the pan. 
  • Put chopped onions into the pan. 
  • Stir the onion until they are golden brown.
  • Turn the gas a little low. 
  • Add garlic, ginger, and cumin seeds and saute them for 2 minutes.
  • Add the tomato, salt, coriander powder, black pepper, chilli powder, and turmeric to the pan.
  • Cook them for 2 minutes.
  • Slice the marrow and add it to the pan.
  • Add chili to the pan.
  • Put the gas to normal heat to cook the marrow. 
  • Cook the mixture for 20 minutes or until everything is perfectly cooked.
  • Stir it when needed, and keep your eyes on the pot.
  • Keep in mind that marrow has a lot of water in it and will be evaporated while cooking. Therefore, if the marrow starts sticking to the bottom of the pan, add some water and mix it all well. This will solve your issue.
